Thanksgiving on Cape Cod Central Railroad

I can't believe that it's already time to start thinking of Thanksgiving. If you don't have a family get together to attend, why not head down to the Cape. It's a wonderful time to relax, unwind, treat yourself to dinner out and start or finish Christmas shopping on Black Friday. Many guests have been asking me for restaurants serving Thanksgiving Dinner so I am compiling a local list. I'll have that ready in a couple of days.

While checking out the options, I came across a very interesting alternative to the traditional restaurants. The Cape Cod Central Railroad is offering Thanksgiving Dinner from 12:30 to 3:30. The train runs a two hour scenic from Hyannis to the Cape Cod Canal. Along the way you'll pass beautiful cranberry bogs, natural woodlands, and lush marshes and the Cape Cod Canal. The Cape Cod Railroad offers many different excursions and I'll detail some of those on a later blog. Imagine being served Thanksgiving dinner on the train as the train travels through beautiful scenery. It's like taking a trip through time. Guests rave about the food. The only problem I've heard is that sometimes the plates shift as the train makes turns! Sounds like fun! To get more information, visit their website, www.capetrain.com, or call 508-771-3800. Be sure to make reservations. You can also click on the title above.
