Seal & Seabird Cruise

Although it has become a bit colder, the weather is still great on Cape Cod and there's still time to enjoy the unique nature of the Cape before winter sets in. On Saturday, November 22nd, the Wellfleet BAy Wildlife Sanctuary is offering A "Seal & Seabird Cruise" at 1:30 out of Wellfleet Harbor into Cape Cod Bay and Billinsgate Shoal abroad the Navigator.

This area is excellent for viewing both gray and harbor seals as they rest on the shoal and swim in surrounding waters. Late fall also brings migrating sea ducks as well as loons, gannets and kittiwakes. Mass Audubon Society naturalists will be on board to identify seal and birds, share natural history information and points of interest. Although, the boat has a closed cabin, dress warmly for the best viewing is from the deck.

There will also be cruises on Nov. 28th and 29th at 2PM if you can't make this one. Call 508-349-2615 to register or for more information. It promises to be a beautiful weekend. We'd love to have you stay at the Tidewater where you can relax and swim in our heated pool or soak in our new hot tub, after a day of enjoying nature on Cape Cod.
