From Iceland to Cape Cod for the Marathon

Last night, one our guests who checked in late was an older woman from Iceland.  While I was checking her in, I asked her reason for the visit to the Cape in the winter.  She told me that this is her 45th visit to the States and she has come each time to run in a marathon.  She has run marathons in 44 states so far and Massachusetts is her 45th state.  Five more to go! She came with her husband and is staying only 4 days on the Cape. I admire such determination and drive. She's doing this for fun and her own self fulfillment.  Wish I could be at the finish line to cheer her on!
