After a long day at the hotel, my husband and I usually have dinner in the picnic area and then relax before the next day begins. In the summer, we have little free time to enjoy the Cape. Thursday night we decided to walk to downtown Hyannis which is only one mile from the Tidewater. What fun! On Thursdays many restaurants offer 20% discounts and there's music all along Main Street. We didn't know this but were pleasantly surprised when we saw musicians outside many restaurants...jazz, country, folk, and rock. Something to please everyone. All the restaurants and shops were teaming with people and many were walking up and down the street. I hadn't seen so many people since last year!
We had a wonderful dinner at Ardeo's and then walked along the street as we enjoyed the music along the way. It seems that this is a regular event on Thursday nights. If you haven't been to Hyannis in the evening, I recommend you try it. There's ice cream shops and a carousel for the kids also.
