Hyannis Christmas Stroll

There's no better place than Cape Cod to get into the Christmas Spirit. Start with the Hyannis Christmas Stroll which is set for Saturday, Dec. 3rd. This very popular holiday event features breakfast with Santa, boat parade, hayrides, tree spectacle, caroling, hot cocoa on tap. Activities will revolve around four major events on Main Street and the Hyannis waterfront.

The JFK Hyannis Museum will display the annual "Spectacle of Trees," where 20 decorated Christmas trees will be raffled off with the proceeds going to support local non-profits. Viewing and bidding will go on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., until winners will be drawn on Saturday evening.

Saturday's events kick off at 9 a.m. with "Breakfast with Santa" at the British Beer Company. Throughout Saturday esp from 11am to 3pm, the Main Street community will host a variety of holiday events. Free activities up and down Main Street range from the Cookie Stroll Contest to bands playing, carolers caroling, and bells ringing, hayrides, a magic show, free children's caricatures and holiday shopping specials. All will be sprinkled with hot cocoa and treats.

At 4 p.m. everyone gathers at the Ocean Street Docks to enjoy the beautifully decorated boat parade, the harbor will host a boat parade. At 5:40, Santa makes an appearance to meet the children. Watch the events from the warmth of the Cape Cod Maritime Museum or close-up from a harbor tour provided by Hy Line Cruises. At 5:40 p.m., Santa will make an appearance to meet with the children.
