Kayaking on Cape Cod

As I mentioned earlier, Cape Cod celebrates its heritage with during the month of May with Cape Cod Maritime Days. Did you know that Maritime Days was listed as one of the Top 100 Events in North America by the National Bus Association. Not bad for little Cape Cod...

Kayaking is one of the many fun events planned for the month: Explore the maritime past by paddling Cape Cod’s storied coastal waterways with local science teacher and longtime kayak guide, Dick Hilmer. Kayak instruction is included during these natural history tours. Paddle through sheltered creeks, into bays and marshes, and towards islands rich in cultural history. No experience is necessary. Perfect for novice or experienced paddlers. All equipment is provided including kayak, paddle, lifejacket and instruction – just bring a smile and a bottle of water, and $30 per person. Information: Due to space limitations, reservations are required. Please call 508-240-1211 or email dhilmer@explorecapecod.com.

For more information on Maritime Days visit their website, http://www.capecodmaritimedays.com/. It's supposed to be a beautiful weekend and the Sagamore construction has ended...no traffic backups and no excuse not to visit the Cape.  The Tidewater is offering it's Manager's Special price for the weekend of $69. Call us at 508-775-6322.

  1. This is very interesting! I've been looking forward to visit Massachusetts and have a vacation on the bayside. I've heard of a lot of good things about those gorgeous Mass. marinas, and I'm also very excited to go to Cape Cod. I'll surely keep this kayaking fun in mind.

  2. Now, that's the next kind of vacation we'd like to have! A trip to the waters and enjoy lots of adventure. We'll keep this in mind for next year's backpacking.

Right at this moment, we're still enjoying our sight-seeing of New York City. Staying at one of these vacation apartment rentals (New York City), we're really enjoying all that the city has to offer.
