We did get the stormy weekend on Cape Cod that forecasters predicted. Friday was merely cloudy, but the rain started on Saturday and by the evening the rain was heavy and the high winds started. Around 9PM we lost power throughout the hotel for a couple of hours. Lisa, the front office manager handed out glo sticks to all the guests so they could manuever around their room. The glo sticks actually work pretty well and last for many hours.
In the morning, we found our Tidewater sign was gone. It had blown away and is probably sitting in someone's yard! We're ordering a new one, but hopefully, our guests can find us before the new one is up. Now the good news. By Wednesday and Thursday the sun is supposed to come out and the temperatures will be close to 60 degrees. Maybe I can find some pansies to plant in our planters in front of the office. Spring is in the air!
