February School Vacation

Tomorrow is the first day of February and school vacation is just around the corner. This winter has been tougher than the winters we've had the past few years. Even the Cape got some snow which has already melted. It's a good time to leave the winter chores and routines behind and plan some quality time with the children. With the dire condition of the economy, families have little money to budget for vacations. With this in mind, we are offering some low rates for vacation week so that families can enjoy a few days of relaxation.

Of course, we have our heated indoor pool and breakfast diner open, but we will also have activities for the kids. There will also be many activities throughout the Cape for families to enjoy during this break. I'll be writing another blog with the details. But just enjoying our hot tub while the kids swim in the pool might be enough.

Our special during vacation is $59.99 Sunday - Thursday and $69.99 for Friday and Saturday. Call us for reservations or information.

Visit the Cape on April School Vacation

April school vacation is when the Cape is again teaming with activity. This year Massachusetts vacation is running a bit later than usual, but we have been busy this week with families from Connecticut and Rhode Island who are enjoying their vacation a week earlier. Merchants are busy sprucing up and preparing for the influx of families. The popular miniature golf courses are putting the finishing touches on the landscaping and will be opening for the season. Also whale watching begins in mid April.

Many of my favorite restaurants which close in the fall have also opened (Skipper, Tugboats, Paddock). Last month the more family oriented "fast food" restaurants specializing fried seafood opened. "Fast food" only in service, certainly not in quality. Three of the most popular are Cooke's, Seafood Sam's, and Kreme and Kone.

And of course, there are many activities at the different venues geared towards families and children. With the mild weather we've had, walks on the beach and hikes on the National Seashore Trails are perfect ways to spend the day. We at the Tidewater are offering a school vacation special of $69.99 for Sunday through Thursday and $79.99 for Friday and Saturday. Our heated indoor pool is a comfortable 84 degrees and our breakfast diner will be open all week. In addition we have the playground for the younger children. We'd love to have you stay at the Tidewater while you and your family enjoy the Cape, so call us at 800-338-6322.

February School Vacation

We're just a few weeks away from President's Day weekend and February school vacation. The Cape has a lot to offer off season at greatly reduced rates and the Tidewater is a perfect place to bring the family. Relax in our pool area or soak in our hot tub while the kids swim and play in our oversized heated pool. Our very popular breakfast diner, Helen's Diner, is open every morning during school vacation week and offers a full menu with freshly made omelettes, pancakes, waffles, breakfast sandwiches... We also have a game room with ping pong and children's games.

Monday through Thursday we will have movie nights, afternoon ice cream socials, and pizza nights. Call us for details. Our rates starting February 15th through February 23rd are:
$69.99 Sunday - Thursday
79.99 Friday & Saturday

So get away from the routine and spend quality time with your family at the Cape. As always, we'd love to have you stay at the Tidewater. Don't hesitate to call us with any questions.
