Fall on the Cape.

Fall is my favorite season on the Cape. After a busy summer, everything slows down, the cooler weather arrives, the traffic improves and everything is still open. We even have beautiful foliage on the Cape. My favorite is the change of colors on the dunes as the plants turn from green to shades of rust, orange, purple, yellow, and red. Beautiful!

The best part for tourists is drastic drop in rates at hotels making it very affordable for those on a budget. Get into the Holiday spirit on Cape Cod with "Gardens Aglow" at the Heritage Museums and Gardens in Sandwich. The grounds and gardens are a aglitter in with festive lights. The museums will feature decorated Christmas trees and a gingerbread exhibit. Once again Santa will visit from the North Pole for photo opportunities in the Model T and drop-in craft activities will be offered. The Museum Store will be open with special gifts for everyone on your list, and Blossoms Café will offer delicious treats and a place to warm yourself.  Dress warmly and stroll the gardens to enjoy the lights!
