February School Vacation

We're just a few weeks away from President's Day weekend and February school vacation. The Cape has a lot to offer off season at greatly reduced rates and the Tidewater is a perfect place to bring the family. Relax in our pool area or soak in our hot tub while the kids swim and play in our oversized heated pool. Our very popular breakfast diner, Helen's Diner, is open every morning during school vacation week and offers a full menu with freshly made omelettes, pancakes, waffles, breakfast sandwiches... We also have a game room with ping pong and children's games.

Monday through Thursday we will have movie nights, afternoon ice cream socials, and pizza nights. Call us for details. Our rates starting February 15th through February 23rd are:
$69.99 Sunday - Thursday
79.99 Friday & Saturday

So get away from the routine and spend quality time with your family at the Cape. As always, we'd love to have you stay at the Tidewater. Don't hesitate to call us with any questions.

Road Races on Cape Cod

Need another reason to visit the Cape? Besides the beautiful beaches, hiking trails, bike trails, golf, shopping and just relaxing, the Cape is a runner's paradise. Throughout the year, there are many races on the Cape from marathons for the avid runner to fun races for the casual runner. Some of the races have been around for more than 30 years. After the races, there are still many ways to enjoy the Cape. So bring your family and friends and enjoy the camaraderie of the race and then enjoy the rest of the Cape. Of course we'd love to have you stay at the Tidewater, which is a perfect place for family and friends to gather in our pool, picnic area, or breakfast diner.

Charles, in front office, has compiled a list of races on the Cape and I've included them in this blog for your convenience. Contact information is also included. The Hyannis Marathon is coming up the third weekend in February, (www.hyannismarathon.com)and the Tidewater has a special rate on their website. Feel free to call us with any questions. Last Minute Specials

It appears as if spring is arriving early on the Cape. Four days ago the temperature dipped to a frigid 9 degrees. Today we are in the mid 40's. By Monday, we are expected to hit 60! So take this opportunity to come to the Cape and enjoy a pseudo spring. Enjoy a walk on the beach, golf, shop or just come to relax and enjoy our indoor pool and hot tub.

Of course, we'd like you to stay at the Tidewater so we are offering a manager's special of $49.99 for one night or $45 per night if you stay more that one night. This offer is valid until January 17th. We might even upgrade you to one of waterview rooms with a private deck overlooking the water for no extra charge (depending on availability). Give us a call at 508-775-6322 and we'd love to help you with your reservation.

Golf on Cape Cod

Today is a beautiful and sunny day on the Cape with no snow! Many only think of the Cape for its beautiful beaches in the summer. What many don't know is that the Cape is one of the preeminent golf destinations in the United States. The Cape offers some of the finest golf courses with over 40 courses to choose from that range from championship regulation courses to challenging Par 3's and executive layouts. From beginner to professional there are courses for everyone.

The weather on the Cape is more temperate since we are surrounded by water. There are courses that are open almost year round. In early spring when most golfers have cabin fever, many courses are open, while most of the Northeast is still under snow. And of course, in the fall, when the crowds leave the Cape, the Cape becomes an economical getaway with ideal golf conditions.

I have provided links to some of the golf websites on Cape Cod that give information on the golf courses. We at the Tidewater specialize in customizing golf packages. We can provide accommodations and reserve tee times for a couple, a group of golf buddies, or a family golf getaway. We work closely with our Yarmouth golf courses, Bass River and Bayberry Hills, both of which are rated very highly by Golf Digest. Bass River offers spectacular views of Bass River and is rated 4 star by Golf Digest and Bayberry Hills was selected by Boston Sports Review as "Best of Cape Cod". We also work closely with Dennis Highland and Dennis Pines which was voted "Best golf course on Cape Cod" by Boston Magazine 2004. Captain's Golf Course, Cranberry Valley, and Blue Rock are also favorites of our guests.

The Tidewater can plan your entire golf vacation and reserve your tee times or we can just provide accommodations for your group. Let us do the work for you. And, of course, after golf we can give you recommendations for some of the finest restaurants on the Cape, from simple pubs with fresh seafood to gourmet restaurants. The Tidewater is perfect for large groups with its landscaped picnic area overlooking Mill Pond and Helen's Diner for a hearty meal before heading for the golf courses. It's also ideal for families with its two pools, playground area, and proximity to beaches and mini golf courses.

Call me at 508-775-6322 to book your golf getaway or with any questions.
